Battalion: 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Bakewell, Derbyshire. Son of Abraham and Martha Bond, of 7, Rock Terrace, Bakewell; Husband of Emily Bond, of 3, Bridge Street, Derby Road, Chesterfield. He was a Labourer at D. P. Battery Works, Bakewell prior to enlisting on 21st December 1908 at Bakewell. He went to France on 28th February 1915, was awarded the Good Conduct Badge, on 14th November 1916 and died, 6th June 1917, aged 27, of acute otitis at No. 1 Casualty Clearing Station, Choques, France.
