Born and lived at Newark, Nottinghamshire. Son of William Bond, Shepppards Row, Newark. He enlisted at Newark and went to France 4th November 1914 with the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He was later posted to the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and was accidentally killed 16th June 1917, aged 35.
