Captain Hugh Charles Wollaston Boden

Battalion: 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Sutton, Surrey and lived at Nuthall, Nottinghamshire. Son of The Reverend Canon Charles John Boden and Mildred Louisa Mary Boden, of Nuthall Rectory, Nottingham. He was a Naval Cadet prior to enlisting at Nottingham, 1st December 1914. He went to France on 30th August 1915 and was killed in action, 11th October 1915, aged 19, when a German shell exploded in the School which was being used as a billet, near Vormezeele, Belgium.
