Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Ellis and Charlotte Boardman, of 24, Mount Court, Mount Street, Nottingham. He was an errand boy prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 25th February 1915 and was killed in action, 5th October 1917, whilst serving in the line near Hill 70, near Loos, France.
