Lance Corporal Arthur Boam

Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Elton, Derbyshire and lived at Cross Green, South Darley, Derbyshire. Son of Richard Boam and Ellen Derbyshire. He was a stone planer prior to enlisting 3rd June 1915 at Buxton, Derbyshire. He went to France 6th March 1916 and was appointed Lance Corporal 29th March 1917. He was killed in action, 20th September 1917, in the attack on Bulgar Wood, Belgium.
