Born and lived at South Shields, County Durham. Son of Thomas Elliot Boad and Mary Boad, of 25, Johnson Street, South Shields. He enlisted at South Shields and was Killed in action, 21st March 1918, aged 20, whilst holding the line near Sorrell Wood/Longeuval, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
