Son of John Frederick and Phoebe Blurton, of 11, Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham. Became 2nd Lieutenant 27th October 1916. Attached to the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters February 1917 and was wounded August 1917. He was killed in action 22nd October 1917, age 20, during the operations south of Houthulst, Belgium.
