British War and Victory MedalSon of James and Adeline Blundred, of 11 Cross Street, Longton, Staffordshire. Husband of Annie Blundred, of 26 Ashwood, Longton. He was fruiterers waggoner prior to enlisting into the North Staffordshire Regiment, 11th December 1915 at Longton. He went to France 8th June 1917 and was transferred to the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 29th June 1917. He was killed in action, 27th May 1918. whilst the battalion was in a retiring fight to Montagne De Guyancourt, France.
