Battalion : 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Cotmanhay, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas and Sophia Blower, of 6, Lambert Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. He enlisted at Nottingham and was serving in the special reserve at Normanton Barracks,  Derby. He went to France 4th November 1914 and was killed in action, 31st July 1917, age 24, in the attack near Bellewaarde Lake, Belgium.
