Born and lived at Tipton, Staffordshire. Husband of Alice Maria Morris (formerly Blower), of 26, Tudor Street, Tipton. He enlisted at Tipton and was killed in action, 17th July 1916, age 35, by shellfire whilst serving in the line to the south-east of Trones Wood, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
