Sergeant William Henry Bloor

Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of William and Ann Bloor, of Stanton Lane, Ticknall, Derbyshire. Husband of Alice Bloor, of Derby Road, Melbourne, Derbyshire. He enlisted 15th October 1914 at Derby. Was appointed Trumpeter 27th October 1914, Lance Corporal, 8th January 1915, promoted Corporal, 1st June 1915, and appointed Lance Sergeant, 10th March 1917. He went to France 13th September 1917 and was promoted Sergeant 6th December 1917. He was killed in action, 23rd March 1918, aged 30, in the German offensive near Hermies, France.
