Born and lived at Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Son of John and Mary Blood, of Ashbourne, Husband of Margaret Mary Blood, of Station Street, Ashbourne. He was a butcher prior to enlisting at Ashbourne and was transferred to 476346 Labour Corps. He died of wounds, 20th May 1918, aged 38.
