British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Bolsover, Derbyshire. Son of Samuel and Annie Blood, of 35 New Street, Hill Top, Bolsover. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 23rd January 1915 at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was appointed Lance Corporal on 15th October 1915 and went to France on 10th November 1915. He suffered gunshot wounds on 12th April 1916 and died of these wounds, on 15th April 1916, aged 21, at 30 Casualty Clearing Station, Aubigny, France.
