Born and lived at Harpur Hill, Buxton, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas and Sarah Anne Blood, of 18, Harpur Hill. He was a lime quarry labourer prior to enlisting at Buxton. He died of wounds 28th March 1918, aged 24.
