Born and lived at Sutton-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of Alfred and Elizabeth Ann Blinkhorn, of 32, Parliament Street, Sutton-In-Ashfield, Nottingham. He was a hoisery hand prior to enlisting at Sutton-In-Ashfield. He was wounded 15th October 1916 and died of wounds, 8th November 1916, aged 22, No. 8 British Red Cross Hospital, Etaples, France.
