Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Holbrook Moor, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas and Eliza Blanchon, of Holbrook Moor. He was an iron moulder in a stove grate factory prior to enlisting at Belper, Derbyshire. He was killed in action, 1st July 1917, in the attack at Cite St. Theodore, near Lens, France.
