Private Frederick Blaize

Battalion: 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Son of Joseph and Emma Blaize, of 52, Alboin Street, Burslem. He was a bricklayer prior to enlisting at Burslem. He was killed in action, 8th October 1916, during the German attack at Thiepval, France during the Battle of the Somme.
