British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn at Pyebridge, Derbyshire and lived at Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. Son of Edwin and Fanny Blagg, of 11 Bridge Road, Eastwood. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 with the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He went to France and was transferred to the 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and was killed in action, 31st July 1917, in the attack at Steenbeek, Belgium.
