British War and Victory MedalSon of Thomas Wallis and Annie Blackwell, of 235, Castle Boulevard, Lenton, Nottingham. He was a window cleaner prior to enlisting 7th December 1915 at Nottingham. He went to France 9th July 1916 and was admitted to 24 General Hospital, Etaples, France, 22nd July 1916 suffering from synovitis of the right knee. He was evacuated to England on Hospital Ship Brighton, 23rd July 1916. On recovery, he returned to France 7th February 1917 and was killed in action, near Polderhoek, Belgium 19th November 1917, aged 35.
