British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn at Cutthorpe, Derbyshire. Son of William and Eliza Black of Cutthorpe. He was a moulder’s apprentice prior to enlisting at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He went to France 14th July 1915 and died of wounds, 19th October 1916, at St. Andrews Hospital, Chelsea, London. 

Buried : Brampton (St. Peter and Paul) Churchyard, Derbyshire, United Kingdom. In South-East part.
