Private Jesse Bishop

Army Number: 70324 (formerly 5965 Leicestershire Regiment)

Battalion: 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Brockley, Suffolk and lived at Rede, Suffolk. Son of Frederick and Mary Ann Bishop, of Three Ashes, Rede. Ha was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Saffron Walden, Essex. He was killed in action, 4th August 1917, age 20,  whilst in the line at Steenbeke, Belgium.
