Born and lived Nottingham. Son of Alfred and Fanny Bishop, 33, Pym Street, St. Ann’s, Nottingham. Husband of Alice May Bishop, 25, Player Street, Nottingham. He was bakers assistant prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 19th October 1916., whilst in the line near Martinsart Wood, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
