Private Frank Birdsall

Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Ackworth, Yorkshire and lived at Castleford, Yorkshire.  Son of Thomas and Sarah Ann Birdsall, of 3 North Street, Castleford. He was a barge keelman prior to enlisting at Castleford. He was killed in action, 4th October 1917, during the attack near Poelcappelle, Belgium.
