Battalion: 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Henry and Mary Bird of 21, Sandon Street, New Basford, Nottingham. He was a hosiery trimmer prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 20th October 1918, whilst attached to the 21st Trench Mortar Battery.

Buried: Kooigem Churchyard, Belgium. Row A. Grave 5.
