Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Joseph and Jane E. Binns, of 4 Buckingham Terrace, Fisher Street, Nottingham. He was a Lace Threader prior to enlisting 11th May 1912. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 31st July 1915, during a German attack near Sanctuary Wood, Belgium.
