Battalion: 5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Etwall, Derbyshire and lived in Derby. Son of John and Sarah Bill, of 228, Stockbrook Street, Derby. He was a fettler in an iron foundry prior to enlisting at Derby. He went to France on 25th February 1915 and died of wounds, on 14th December 1915, at 4th General Hospital, Lincoln. 

Buried: Derby (Nottingham Road) Cemetery, United Kingdom. Gen. 31076 (C.).
