Born at Westmorland and lived at Matlock, Derbyshire. Son of William Bibby. He went to British East Africa with the Derbyshire Yeomanry 27th April 1915. Later joined the 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and died of wounds 11th March 1917 at No. 43 Casualty Clearing Station, Warlincourt, France.
