Born at West Bromwich, Staffordshire and lived at Handsworth, Staffordshire. Son of Moses and Elizabeth Bezer, of 7 Kenrick Street, West Bromwich. He was a cement worker prior to enlisting at Oldbury, Staffordshire. He went to France on 24th September 1914 and was killed in action on 20th October 1914, when the battalion held position south-east of Bois Grenier, Ennetieres/Escobecques, France against a German attack.
