British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Nottingham. Son of  John Thomas and Julia  Betts, of 70, Burford Road, Nottingham. He was lace curtain draughtsman prior to enlisting 1st March 1909 at Nottingham. He was appointed Lance Corporal 6th November 1914 and went to France 28th February 1915 and was promoted Corporal 18th August 1915. He was killed in action, 13th October 1915, aged 28, in the attack on the Hohenzollern Redoubt, France.
