Private John Beswick

Battalion: 1/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Kegworth, Leicestershire.  Son of John and Fanny Beswick, of 61, Princes Street, Derby.  He was a wheel turner prior to enlisting  at Derby and went to France 29th August 1915. He was killed in action, 12th July 1918, aged 28, by German shellfire whilst serving in the line near Essart, France.
