Born at Slawston, Leicestershire. Son of Robert Kendal Berry and Mary Rose Berry, of The Manor, Ashley, Leicestershire; Husband of Mary Alissimon Berry, of North Collingham, Newark-On-Trent, Nottinghamshire. He was a barley merchant prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 6th March 1915 and died of wounds, 13th March 1915, aged 34, received at Neuve Chapelle, France the previous day.
