Born and lived at Buxton, Derbyshire. Son of Isaac Smith Beresford and Hannah Beresford; Husband of Lilly Beresford, of 52, South Avenue, Buxton, Derbyshire. He was a postman prior to enlisting 20th April 1917 at Bakewell, Derbyshire. He went to France 28th March 1918 and died of heart failure 26th December 1918 aged 32.
