Lance Corporal Thomas Austin Beresford

Battalion: 2/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Heanor, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas Austin Beresford and Sophia Beresford, of Carlton House, Godfrey Street, Heanor, Derbyshire. He was a draper’s shop assistant prior to enlisting at Alfreton, Derbyshire.  He was killed in action, 9th April 1917, age 25, in the attack of Le Verguier, France.
