British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn at Derby and lived at New Mills, Derbyshire. Son of Henry and Hannah Beresford, of Laneside Farm, Rowarth, Derbyshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Buxton, Derbyshire. He went to France on 29th June 1915 and was killed in action, 7th August 1915, age 21, whilst in the line at Maple Copse, Near Hooge, Belgium.
