British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Belper, Derbyshire. Son of Albert and stepson of Anne Beresford, of 8 Cow Hill, Belper. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Derby. he went to France 10th December 1915 and was killed in action, 25th June 1917,  during a raid on the German line near Cite St. Pierre, France.
