Battalion: 2/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Hayfield, Derbyshire. Son of Raymond and Mary Bennett, of Hayfield. He was a print works labourer prior to enlisting at New Mills, Derbyshire. 19th October 1914. He was killed in action, 27th April 1917.

Commemorated : Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
