British War and Victory MedalBorn at lived at Bognor Regis, Sussex. Son of Frederick and Alice Bennett, of 6 Parmingter, Ockley Road, Bognor Regis. He was a plumber and chimney sweep prior to enlisting into the 218th Training Reserve Battalion, 1st March 1917 at Chichester, Sussex. He went to France 31st October 1917  and was transferred to the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 5th November 1917. He was killed in action, 22nd March 1918,  during the German attack at Aveluy Wood, France
