Born and lived at Willington, Derbyshire. Son of George Bennett. He enlisted at Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire. and was killed in action, 20th September 1917 in the attack on the German line near Bulgar Wood, Belgium. 

Commemorated : Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Panel 99 to 102 and 162 to 162A.
