Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Chirbury, Shropshire and lived at Minsterley, Shropshire. Son of John Amos and Annie Bennett, of The Square, Minsterley. He was a clerk prior to enlisting 24th May 1917 at Shrewsbury. He was transferred to the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 4th April 1918 and was killed in action, 24th April 1918, aged 18, at Villers Bretonnuex, France.
