Born and lived at Longton, Staffordshire. Son of John & Mary Bennett or 118 Villiers Street, Dresden, Longton. He was a coal miner at Florence Colliery, Longton prior to enlisting at Longton. He went to France 24th August 1915 and died of wounds, 19th April 1916.
