Lieutenant Walter Benner

Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Walter and Catherine Benner, of Duffield, Derby. Was an architect. He was severely wounded on the 3rd September 1916 at Beaumont Hamel, on the Somme, by a bullet wound to his jaw. He was killed in action 2nd September 1918, aged 32.
