Born at Carrington, Nottinghamshire. Son of Thomas and Sarah Belshaw, of 9, Silverwood Place, Nottingham. Husband of Evelyn B. Belshaw, of 17, Kemps Cottages, Lowdham Street, Nottingham. He was a pavier prior to enlisting 26th August 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 12th August 1915 and died of wounds, 26th December 1915, at 24th General Hospital, Etaples, France.
