Born and lived at Hanley, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire. Son of William Henry and Mary Elizabeth Bellis, of 87, Union Street, Hanley. He enlisted at Hanley and was killed in action, 5th June 1918, age 19, whilst serving in the line at Gorre, France.
