Born at Armley, Yorkshire. Son of John Teesdale Bell and Mary Ann Bell, of 89, Buttermore Road, Sheffield. He was a boot repairer prior to enlisting at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He died of wounds, 16th May 1917, at 21 Casualty Clearing Station, Nesle, France.
