Sergeant George William Bell

Born and lived at Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Son of Frederick and Mary Eliza Bell, of 233, Garden City, Kilton Road, Worksop. He was a Coal Miner at Manton Colliery, Worksop prior to enlisting at Worksop. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 and was killed in action, 26th September 1916, aged 22, whilst in the attack south of Thiepval, France during the Battle of the Somme.
