British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn at Todwick, Sheffield, Yorkshire. Son of Edwin and Margaret Susannah Belk, of 1, Aston Terrace, Aston. He was a colliery labourer prior to enlisting.  He went to France 26th January 1915 and was transferred to the 116619 Labour Corps. He was discharged unfit for military service 11th March 1919 and died 20th September 1920, aged 26.

His brother Private Christopher Belk, 2nd Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment, also fell in the Great War.
