Lance Corporal George William Beeson

Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Hazelwood, Derbyshire. Son of Samuel and Jane Beeson, of Hazelwood. He was a domestic gardener prior to enlisting at Derby. He was killed in action, 7th June 1917, aged 27, in the attack on the German positions at Hill 60, near Ypres, Belgium.

Buried: Perth Cemetery (China Wall), Belgium. Plot 2. Row K. Grave 36.
