He was born at Tottenham, Middlesex and lived at South Normanton. Son of Emily Beer, of 17 Main Street, South Normanton, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, 29th December 1914 and died of wounds 11th August 1917.
