Lance Corporal Edward Ernest Bedford

Battalion : 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Westminster, London and lived at Long Eaton, Derbyshire. Son of William Keys, of 16 Orchard Street, Long Eaton. He enlisted 29th September 1914 at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. He was appointed Lance Corporal, 12th November 1914 and went to France 17th December 1914. He was killed in action during the attack near Rouges Bancs, France, 9th May 1915 as part of the Battle of Aubers Ridge.
