Battalion : 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at South Muskham, Nottinghamshire.  Son of John and Eliza Beckett, of South Muskham; Husband of Rosina Beckett, of North Muskham, Newark, Nottinghamshire. he was a hay trusser and Church clerk. He enlisted at Newark and was killed in action, 23rd April 1917, age 31, in teh attack on the German lines at Bayonet Trench near Arras.
